International Thespian Society - Troupe 8445

Come Join the Fun!!!
Davidson High School is honored to have a troupe chartered with the International Thespian Society!
We are Troupe 8445!

 The International Thespian Society (ITS), founded in 1929, is an honorary organization for high school and middle school theatre students located at more han 4,200 affiliated secondary schools across America, Canada, and abroad.

High school inductees are known as Thespians.

The mission of ITS is to honor student achievement in and dedication to the theatre arts.
To fulfill our mission we will:

-Create experiences for students to self-advocate through mutual cooperation and high regard to theatre and each other;
-Provide opportunities for Thespians to attend professional productions;
-Provide hands-on opportunities in producing excellent theatrical presentations;
-Facilitate participation in theatre conferences and competitions
-Encourage volunteerism; and
-Acquire the mandatory materials and manage them effectively to reach our goals

The International Thespian Society is open to all students whether they have taken a theatre class or not. Membership is offered to select students who have shown particular dedication and hard work in the theatre based on a point system that tracks quality work.

The Troupe 8445 is dedicated to increasing students' exposure to and participation in theatre while building on the lifetime friendships that come out of bonding through the art of theatre.
