🏆🎉 DHS National Merit Semifinalists Announced! 🎉🏆
Davidson High School is proud to announce our four National Merit Semifinalists: Fouad Hujier, Andres Gonzalez Espana, Tyler Macon, and Brayden Sadler!
These outstanding scholars, all members of Davidson's IB and EPIC programs, have earned a place among approximately 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide in the 72nd Annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Chosen from more than 1.2 million students who took the PSAT/NMSQT, these students represent the highest-scoring entrants in their state and are among less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors to receive this distinction.
They now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for nearly 6,700 National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $24 million, which will be awarded next spring.

Starting Friday, September 11, 2026, all concessions at W.P. Davidson High School football games will be card or tap to pay only.

For faster and more convenient service, our concession stands will accept credit/debit cards, prepaid cards, apple pay, google pay. Cash will no longer be accepted for concession purchases.
We appreciate your cooperation as we make this change to help keep the concession lines moving and get everyone back to enjoying the game! 🏈🔥

Today, our IB juniors welcomed the newest members of the IB family, our 9th graders! Students practiced the valuable soft skill of the art of conversation by stepping outside their comfort zones and making meaningful connections as they strengthened our IB community by introducing themselves to someone new!

Students in Mrs. Stubblefield's Honors Algebra I class took math beyond their desks as they stretched their legs and sharpened their problem-solving skills during a math-inspired scavenger hunt.
IMPORTANT BUS TRANSPORTATION REMINDER
Parents/Guardians: If you have not already returned your student's transportation paperwork, please do so no later than Monday, August 31, 2026.
✅ Forms must be returned directly to your child's bus driver.
⚠️ Students whose paperwork has not been received and approved by August 31, 2026 may not be permitted to continue riding the school bus until the required documentation is submitted.
This paperwork is essential to ensure:
• Students are authorized to ride their assigned bus
• Drivers have accurate rider lists
• Students can be accounted for during emergencies
• Transportation information is current and accurate
• Route, stop, and assignment changes can be managed safely
If you haven't returned your form yet, please make plans to send it with your student before August 31, 2026.

Their hard work and perseverance serve as a reminder that no matter the era, Warriors always have something to prove. Thank you to these student-athletes for helping build the tradition that continues today.
