🎓 Celebrating Our IB Graduates!
We recently welcomed back our Class of 2025 for the annual IB Diploma Ceremony! After learning their scores in July, students officially receive their diplomas in January when they return for this event. It’s a great way to start the year—sharing success stories, catching up with teachers, and reconnecting with former classmates!
This year’s group was extra special: Davidson’s largest IB cohort ever! 💛🖤

✨ Davidson High School is proud to announce that Dr. Chelsea Tanous has been named our 2026 Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Tanous has served Davidson High for five years as our French instructor and World Language Department Chair. Her academic journey includes earning a Master’s degree in French from the University of Alabama and a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara. She also spent a year living in France teaching English and, in the summer of 2025, led a group of Davidson students on an unforgettable trip to Germany, France, and Spain.
When asked what she loves most about teaching, Dr. Tanous shared:
“Watching my students grow from beginners to fluent speakers and being able to communicate their own thoughts and feelings in a new language.”
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Tanous for her leadership and passion for world languages. We are honored to have you!

Isabella is thriving at Spring Hill College, where she’s studying Elementary Education on a full ride! Her journey includes academic scholarships, an RA discount, and the Helen M. Robinson Scholarship for altruistic leadership—funding immersion trips to Los Angeles, Chicago, Spain, Ecuador, and soon South Dakota!
Isabella credits the IB program for shaping her into a balanced, community-minded leader:
"IB gave me a community and a safe space to find myself. It taught me the importance of showing up for someone and serving your community. CAS [an IB requirement] wasn’t torture—it showed us life beyond textbooks and gave me space to thrive creatively."
We are so proud of Isabella and all our Warriors who continue to do amazing things! 💛🖤

We’re proud of our ELL Warriors—let’s crush those goals! 💪

🎄 It was a merry day for Davidson faculty!
Thanks to the generosity of IB students and their families, our teachers and staff enjoyed sweet treats that made the day extra special. 🍪✨

Davidson High School Class of 2023 alum Jimmie Beth recently visited her alma mater to share her incredible journey!
She’s pursuing a dual degree in Integrated Marketing & Communications and Public Policy at Ole Miss—earning both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts. Her strong foundation from the IB and EPIC programs (and 38 hours of AP/IB credit!) has helped her thrive in writing-intensive courses and master time management.
Jimmie Beth interned with the Mobile Chamber of Commerce in the summer of 2024 and dreams of working in economic development—with her ultimate goal being a role at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
We’re so proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see what’s next! 💛🖤
