✨ Senior Spotlight: LaNiya Wright ✨
After graduation, LaNiya is keeping things simple and focused—she’ll be working this summer before starting her next chapter at Bishop State, where she plans to pursue nursing with a goal of working in pediatrics.
She has been deeply involved in NJROTC since her freshman year, earning the Character Achievement Award as an NS2 her sophomore year—an honor she is especially proud of. As a senior, she also joined the archery team and became a member of NTHS, even earning her CNA license along the way!
LaNiya says she will miss Coach Johnston and Ms. Henley the most, sharing that they’ve been a constant source of support, laughter, and encouragement since her freshman year.
Her favorite memories include the junior and senior pep rallies and Senior Night—moments filled with energy, pride, and Warrior spirit. She also gives a special shoutout to Mrs. Callais, who she describes as not only an amazing teacher, but an amazing person.
Words of Wisdom from LaNiya:
“Always put God and yourself first. Be yourself—don’t change for anything or anyone. Don’t let anything hold you back.”

✨Senior Spotlight: Cheyenne Dupree ✨
Cheyenne Dupree is ready to take the next step toward her future with plans to attend college and pursue a career as a veterinarian!
She found her place at Davidson in JROTC—a program that turned into something truly meaningful. Through JROTC, she built lasting friendships, stepped outside her comfort zone, and created memories she’ll always carry with her.
One of Cheyenne’s proudest accomplishments has been breaking out of her shy shell and fully embracing new experiences. From fun moments like Senior Skip Day to the everyday connections she made, she made the most of her high school journey.
She is especially grateful for the impact of Ms. Scott, Mr. Towler, and Ms. Callais, with Mr. Towler leaving a lasting impression by always encouraging her to be herself and creating a classroom where she felt seen, supported, and valued.
Her advice to underclassmen: “Make good memories—you will only experience this once in your life.”

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Sariah Hossain 🎓
This fall, Sariah will attend Harvard University, where she plans to double major in comparative literature and economics.
Her college acceptances speak to her academic excellence: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins as a Hodson Trust Scholar, Georgetown University, and other top institutions.
At DHS, she served as President of Thespians and Fundraising Chair for the SGA, and as DIMUN Chair, while also founding her own nonprofit, Invictus Artists' Guild. This year, the organization held its first production—Hamlet—with Sariah starring in the lead role.
Her accomplishments extend far beyond campus. She was a National Semifinalist in the English-Speaking Union’s National Shakespeare Contest, placing in the top 43 in the nation in 2025, and she represented DHS at National History Day, placing as a national honorable mention in 2025.
Sariah credits Mrs. Banashak for always encouraging her to take on challenges and believe in herself, and gives a special shoutout to Mr. Pouliot for reminding her that thinking differently is a strength.
Her favorite DHS memory? Spending time with her friends in IB Leadership.
Advice to future Warriors: “You shouldn’t change yourself to fit anyone else’s expectations.” ✨

Shiloh Malone is heading to Jacksonville State University this fall, where she plans to major in biology as she continues her journey toward becoming a veterinarian
Over the past four years, Shiloh is most proud of her perseverance—never giving up and staying committed to keeping her grades up, even when it wasn’t easy.

She is so grateful for Mrs. Callais and the support she provides to students who may not always have someone else to lean on.
For underclassmen, Shiloh offers this advice: stay on top of your work and don’t fall behind—it’s hard to catch up. And most importantly, don’t take your time here for granted.

Students in AP Language turned up the creativity as they prepared for their exam by analyzing famous Disney songs through the lens of SPACE CAT 🐱✍️—examining speaker, purpose, audience, context, exigence, choices, appeals, and tone. From powerful ballads to classic sing-alongs, they transformed lyrics into thoughtful rhetorical essays, proving that strong analysis can be found in every story!

✨ Senior Spotlight: Victor Cubi ✨
After graduation, Victor will be finishing the FlightPath9 (FP9) Program while working at Airbus, then continuing his journey at Coastal Alabama to earn his Aviation & Powerplant (A&P) License. Getting accepted into the FP9 Program is one of his proudest accomplishments, especially because it leads directly to hands-on experience at Airbus and the opportunity for a full-time career.
Victor spent four years playing Varsity Football, serving as the starting Outside Linebacker for two years, and says one of his best moments ever was scoring his first touchdown during the Foley game on Homecoming Night—a feeling he’ll never forget. He was also part of the Esports team for two years, competing in Rainbow Six Siege and Marvel Rivals.
Victor says he’ll miss Ms. Callais the most—for putting up with him getting on her nerves every single day for two straight years and for always leading him the right way with genuine care. His favorite memories are every football game, especially the laughs, fun moments, and legendary bus rides home—core memories for sure.
He gives heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tucker for always being there for him, guiding him in the right direction, and supporting him like a second mom. He is forever grateful for her presence in his life.
Advice from Victor:
“Don’t slack. You don’t want to be the person telling others not to miss opportunities because you did. Take advantage of every great opportunity you get.”

✨ Senior Spotlight: Ethan Banks ✨
Ethan has big plans after graduation! This summer, he will be working through the Academy of Craft’s employment program with the local company Smith Electric & Associates, gaining hands-on experience before heading to Alabama State University to study Computer Information Systems. His career goal is to become an Information Security Analyst.
During his time at Davidson, Ethan was involved in a wide range of activities and leadership roles. His freshman year, he participated in Robotics, where his team earned 1st Place at the 2022 South’s BEST Regional Championship. From sophomore through senior year, he was active in the Technology Student Association, serving as Event Organizer. Ethan is also a member of both the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

He qualified for the state meet in the 300m hurdles and served as an assistant coach during his senior year. He was also a varsity Cross Country athlete from sophomore to senior year and took on an assistant coaching role his final season.
One of his favorite memories was traveling upstate for the Jesse Owens Cross Country Meet, where the team bonded through shared meals, games, pranks, and unforgettable moments together.
Ethan says he will miss Mrs. Spann the most for her style, passion, and ability to turn every conversation into a learning opportunity.
He gives special thanks to Mr. Daigle for investing in him, recognizing his potential, and teaching him the importance of drive, integrity, leadership, and meaningful connections.
