Congratulations to Tyler Macon, a senior in Davidson High School’s IB and EPIC programs, on earning a perfect 36 on the ACT! This remarkable achievement places Tyler among less than 0.22% of ACT test takers nationwide to reach this milestone.
Tyler’s accomplishments beyond the classroom. He is a member of Varsity Scholars Bowl, serves as Co-Captain of HiQ, and has represented Davidson through National History Day and DIMUN, where he earned honors including Best Delegation and Best Resolution. Tyler was also recently named Humanitarian-Financial Chair for DIMUN 2027. He has also worked at Publix for the past year, proving that students can excel in advanced academic courses while engaging in meaningful extracurriculars.
Interested in pursuing studies in political science or aviation, Tyler looks forward to exploring his university options this fall.

From microscopes to data analysis, science was in full swing in Ms. Hosford's classes today! Human Anatomy students explored tissues under the microscope, while AP Biology students conducted investigations on the properties of water, collecting data and using statistical analysis to determine whether different substances affected hydrogen bonding.

A proud Davidson graduate from the Class of 2010, Coach Yancey brings a strong foundation of Warrior tradition and experience to the role. He has served as Davidson's JV Boys Basketball Head Coach for the past eight years while also spending eight years as an assistant coach for the Varsity Boys Basketball team.
Coach Yancey is committed to player development, focusing on improving individual skills, helping athletes understand their roles within the team, providing consistent feedback, and celebrating growth both on and off the court. He believes practices should be organized, competitive, and purposeful, with an emphasis on daily effort and the understanding that preparation determines performance. Most importantly, he wants his players to enjoy the game and have fun while reaching their full potential.

Juniors in Mrs. Kynaston's OFS ACT Test Prep class are putting their skills to the test! Students are competing to correctly answer ACT questions, with bonus points awarded to those who can explain their reasoning. Tomorrow's math challenge will determine who takes the lead and earns bragging rights as the reigning champions! Keep up the great work, Warriors!

Guests enjoyed a showcase of student performances, great food, and time with family and friends as seven new inductees were welcomed into the International Thespian Society. Held at A New Day Christian Ministries, the event highlighted the creativity of our theatre students. As an international theatre and community service organization, our troupe is proud to foster both artistic excellence and leadership through service. The Class of 2026 achieved an outstanding 95% IB Diploma pass rate, well above the global pass rate of 82%. This achievement reflects the hard work and academic commitment of our students and teachers throughout the rigorous two-year IB Diploma Programme.
Over the past six years, 113 Davidson Warriors have earned the distinction of IB Diploma Candidate graduates, achieving an impressive 97% diploma pass rate. These graduates join more than 200,000 students worldwide who successfully complete the IB Diploma Programme each year.
We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and all of our IB graduates who continue to represent Davidson High School with excellence on both a local and global stage.

Rising IB senior Eli Weatherford was selected as one of just 23 rising high school seniors from across Alabama to participate in the 7th Huntingdon College Economic and Community Development Scholars Program!
Representing the Mobile Chamber and Davidson High School, Eli joined students from 17 Alabama Chambers of Commerce for a three-day, two-night experience focused on the vital role economic and community development play at both the local and state levels. Hosted by Huntingdon College in partnership with the Huntingdon College Presidential Scholars Program and the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama, the program provided participants with valuable insight into leadership, civic engagement, and the future of Alabama’s communities.
Participants were chosen through a competitive selection process by their local Chamber of Commerce and the Huntingdon College Presidential Scholars Program.
