🌟 Senior Spotlight: Kendall Jimenez 🌟
Kendall is headed to the University of South Alabama to major in Mechanical Engineering!
A 4-year Esports veteran, Kendall has qualified for playoffs and nationals multiple times, competing in Overwatch, Mario Kart, Valorant, and Marvel Rivals—traveling to Orlando and San Antonio to represent with EGF. One of his proudest moments? Winning Grand Finals in Marvel Rivals!
Kendall is also proud of earning a 4 on the AP CSP exam, being named Student of the Month at Bryant Center, maintaining a 4.0+ GPA, graduating with an Honors Diploma, earning college scholarships, and becoming a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.
He’d like to give a huge thank-you to Dr Tucker for guiding him through life and giving him the opportunity to compete in esports—helping build his confidence, communication skills, and sense of belonging. He also thanks Coach Daigle and Mr. Dollison for teaching him financial literacy and investing skills that will set him up for long-term success.
Advice to underclassmen: “Cherish every memory and moment like it’s your last.”

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Mendalyn Goleman 🎓
After graduation, Mendalyn will attend the University of Detroit Mercy, majoring in Architecture.
During her time at Davidson, Mendalyn was involved in DIMUN (earning Spirit of DIMUN and 2nd Place in the Flag Contest – 2025), KDCII all four years (including choreographing two dances for Pieces of Us), Cross Country her junior and senior years, Yearbook as a senior, and volunteering with the Special Olympics.
She’ll miss Mrs. Dussouy, who made dance feel like family instead of just a class, and Mrs. Faris, whose positivity made even a 7:15 AM start feel brighter. One of her favorite memories is cheering on teammates during cross country races—always supporting others with genuine enthusiasm.
Mendalyn’s advice: “Get out of your comfort zone. Some of the best memories come from the things that are a little scary.”

✨ Senior Spotlight: Giana Bullard ✨
Giana plans to attend The University of Alabama at Birmingham as a Pre-Nursing major, with the goal of eventually becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
She is a Health Occupation Students of America Member and Secretary, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, a Universal Cheerleading Association All-American Cheerleader, and proudly served as Varsity Cheer Co-Captain. One of her greatest achievements was obtaining her CNA license through the Bryant Center, which helped solidify her career goals.
The accomplishments that made Giana most proud include making the cheer team and forming lifelong friendships, earning scholarships to several schools, and successfully completing her CNA certification. Her favorite memory was attending cheer camp at OWA with the varsity team and creating memories she will cherish forever.
Giana will miss Ms. Finch the most, sharing that she is someone she could go to about anything because she truly listens and supports her through everything. She would also like to thank Ms. Faris for always pushing her to do her best in class and for believing in her.
Her advice to underclassmen: "Cherish your years in high school while they last because they will fly by! Also, join clubs and get involved in the school so you can make great friends and bonds."

🌟 Senior Spotlight: Will Towner 🌟
Will plans to enlist in the United States Navy!
He has been a powerhouse at Davidson both on the field and in uniform. He was a proud member of the “Sound of Mobile” Marching Band all four years, serving as Co-Captain his junior year and Center Snare / Head Captain his senior year, earning a Superior rating every season. He also performed with the WP Davidson Symphonic Band for two years and credits countless memories to practice field shows and performances.
Through NJROTC, Will’s leadership journey began in 8th grade and rose all the way to Cadet Commander, serving as Battalion Commanding Officer for the 25–26 school year—an extraordinary achievement. Along the way, he earned over 10+ awards and trophies, competed in STEM and drill events, and helped lead the unit to Distinguished Unit with Academic Honors, a milestone not reached in over five years.
Will also represented Davidson through baseball, soccer, and the Black Student Union, serving as Public Affairs Officer and later Historian.
He extends heartfelt thanks to Commander Hamblet, Senior Chief Jones, and Master Sergeant English for mentoring him and sharing their experiences, to Coach de Lange for lessons in faith and sportsmanship, and to Dr. Beattie for helping him grow as a musician.
Will’s advice to future graduates:

🌟 Senior Spotlight: Isabella West 🌟
Isabella plans to attend the University of South Alabama, majoring in Psychology and Political Science.
During her time at Davidson, Isabella was a three-year cheerleader and proudly served as co-captain her senior year, spending countless Friday nights cheering on the Warrior football team. She also stayed active in DIMUN and Project Outreach, volunteered with the Special Olympics for two years, and earned her CNA license through the Bryant Center, becoming a member of the National Technical Honor Society along the way.
Isabella says she’ll miss Mrs. Faris the most for her unmatched positivity and for making sure every student felt seen and appreciated. She’d also like to thank Ms. Wilhelm for always being a coach and teacher she could turn to whenever she needed support.
Her advice to future graduates?

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Dylan “Jai” Somjai Roubsouay 🎓
After graduation, Jai plans to pursue a career as a Fire Medic, keeping his options open as he works toward firefighter certification and a paramedic license. His goal is to serve others and make a meaningful difference in his community.
Music, theatre, automotive rebuilding, and photography all played a major role in his high school journey. Although he joined Davidson for his senior year, Jai made an immediate impact through Symphonic and Marching Band, bringing with him years of theatre experience. His accomplishments include earning multiple awards at the Trumbauer Theatre Festival and performing for students at the School for Autism.
Beyond the arts, Jai is a dedicated car enthusiast who enjoys rebuilding vehicles for speed and performance. That passion naturally led him into photography, where he now blends technical skill with creativity—capturing cars and milestone moments for friends at local meets and track events. One of the achievements he is most proud of is inspiring others to step outside their comfort zones and try new things.
Jai will miss Mrs. Finch the most, who recognized his potential and consistently encouraged him to stay focused on his goals. Her support made a lasting impact on his final year.
His favorite memories include parking lot hangouts with friends—talking cars, sharing music, and appreciating the small moments that made high school special.

🌟Senior Spotlight: Oashia Scurlock 🌟
This summer, Oashia will be finishing her final season of travel softball, followed by competing with West Mobile Softball in the fall. She plans to attend the University of South Alabama, where she will pursue a degree in Nursing with the goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. While working toward her degree, she will also gain hands-on experience as a Nurse Assistant at USA.
Oashia is a 4-year Varsity Softball player, a proud member of the National Society of High School Scholars, holds CPR and CNA certifications, and is an active member of Right Way Christian Center. One of her proudest accomplishments is earning her Certified Nursing Assistant License.
She will miss Mr. Jensen and African American Literature the most, cherishing the strong bond created in the classroom through meaningful conversations, learning, and laughter. Some of her favorite memories come from competitive softball tournaments and time spent with her teammates.
Oashia extends heartfelt thanks to Ms. Little, Coach Brannon, and Coach Westbrook, whose guidance and support have shaped her into the person she is today and will continue to influence her future success.

🌟 Senior Spotlight: Ethan Gates 🌟
Ethan will be heading to the University of Alabama, where he plans to double major in Engineering and Finance.
He has been involved in Boy Scouts since 1st grade, earning the rank of Eagle Scout and completing hundreds of service hours through both Boy Scouts and the Order of the Arrow. At DHS, Ethan represented the school in cross country and track and was also active in DIMUN. He is graduating with an Honors Diploma and has earned scholarships to attend the University of Alabama.
Some of Ethan’s favorite memories include 7th block cross country, and he gives a special shoutout to Mr. Lowell, saying he’s a great teacher.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Katurah Sanborn 🌟
Katurah began her high school years in JROTC as a 9th grader. Now a 12th grader, she is enrolled in the Bryant Center’s Horticulture & Floriculture program. After graduation, Katurah plans to attend Bishop State Community College and pursue her dream of becoming a seamstress.
When asked who she will miss the most, Katurah shared it will be Ms. Ashbee, saying:
“She always starts the day off with a smile and positive attitude that motivates me.”
Katurah enjoyed Davidson's dance performances and appreciates the librarians for their creative decorations, which help make school feel warm and welcoming. Her advice to others is short but meaningful:
“Play the game.”

✨ Senior Spotlight: Catherine Fosnight ✨
Catherine plans to join the Air Force after graduation and then pursue a career in computer engineering. She played clarinet in the marching band and concert band all four years, competed on the archery team all four years, and was an active member of the Tabletop Gaming Club, participating in a D&D campaign for two years—and then even creating her own original campaign when it ended.
Academically, Catherine participated in EPIC all four years. She also earned 1st place at both regional and state Tech Fair in the Digital Gaming Groups category, serving as the artist who created all the visuals for the winning submission.
She gives special thanks to Mr. Jensen for reigniting her love of reading and making archery fun again, and to Coach Daigle for pushing her and her peers to reach their full potential. One of her favorite memories will always be Friday night football games, marching onto the field at halftime, and spending time with friends afterward.
Catherine’s advice:
“Work hard, but don’t forget to still have fun.”

🌟 Senior Spotlight: Jordan Gamble 🌟
After high school, Jordan plans to attend Bishop State Community College while continuing to grow her clothing brand and expanding her hairstyling business.
During her time at Davidson, Jordan ran track her freshman year and advanced to state, and also played flag football her sophomore year. She’s proud of pushing herself—even through tough times—while making unforgettable memories, especially the fun of freshman year.
Jordan gives special thanks to Ms. Scott and Nurse Ransom for encouraging her when she didn’t feel like trying. Ms. Scott was “a mom at school,” always supportive (and always keeping snacks!).
