We are excited to host the Air Elite Dunkers for our Annual ACAP Pep Rally this year. Our students are going to be amazed at the dunks that will be performed at this show. The cost to attend the pep rally is only $3. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 20, 2026 and will end on Friday, February 27th at 12noon. The entire student body will be invited to attend this event. Please remember if your child has any fees owed to the school, balances will have to be cleared in order for them to pay to attend. Your regular driver will be out on the morning and afternoon routes on 1/16/26. Due to this temporary change, the bus will arrive at your stop 15 minutes earlier than your usual pick-up-time. Please be out at the stop and ready 15 minutes early to avoid missing the bus.

To encourage and motivate students, an incentive field trip has been planned for those who attend school and put forth their best effort on the test. Please note that students who are not present for the test will not be eligible to participate in the incentive field trip, which will be provided at no cost to the students.

Parents, we ask for your support by ensuring that your child gets a good night's rest before each test day. Your child’s teacher will be in touch with specific details about the testing schedule. Congratulations to our IXL Leaders of the week. There were several ties this week between the students. It is extremely exciting to see some of our Kindergarten students show up on the leaderboard this week. Way to Go!! The top 10 students have earned a free ice cream and the top 3 students have earned a seat a the table to have lunch with the administrators. Great job students!

Good afternoon. As the Christmas Break approaches, we are excited to kick off a festive season at Gilliard Elementary School. To celebrate the upcoming holiday, we are inviting both staff and students to join in our "Deck the Halls with School Spirit" event. From December 8th to 19th, everyone is encouraged to dress up according to the fun and creative themes outlined in the attached flyers. This initiative aims to foster a joyful and inclusive atmosphere as we wind down the school term. We hope to see everyone who wishes to participate showing their school spirit and taking part in the festivities.

It's important to note that while we encourage participation, maintaining a respectful and orderly environment is a priority. Therefore, any student demonstrating inappropriate behavior will be asked to revert to wearing the standard school uniform. Please refer to the attached flyer for detailed information on the themed days. Let's make these next two weeks before the Holiday Break memorable and enjoyable for all.
