Please enjoy these absolutely gorgeous still life apples created by Ms. Yerena's 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. This was their first big project of the year. Their focus was on skill building (mostly with value, texture, color and line) for several weeks. Students drew apples from life sitting in front of them and learned how to observe value and render it to make their apple look 3-dimensional. Of course she wanted them to have some fun and add some color, so they got to go crazy in the background with things they learned about the other elements of art.
