Save time AND avoid the line!! Bring your proofs of residence to Baker Monday- Thursday beginning on June 11, 2025 from 8am to 2 pm.
The following documents are required:
Mortgage statements/lease (Lease must be current, no expired leases will be accepted) in enrolling parents’ name
Utility Bill- must be current and in enrolling parents’ name
Parents’ Drivers License
Transfer students MUST provide proofs of residence.
All students on Residency Assessment must print new residency affidavit (found on the MCPSS website) and adhere to all requirements. Homeowners must be present in order for assessment to be processed. Enrollment is not guaranteed.
Students must be accompanied by parent/guardian at registration and may not be dropped off.

Summer School Registration will be held Thursday, May 29th. 8AM - 12PM. Registration will be held in the Concourse Lobby & Library near the gym.
Classes start June 2nd for Athletes, Seniors, and those approved by administration. Classes start June 30th for those 9th - 11th graders not previously approved.
Classes held 7:15AM -11:45AM Mon. - Thurs. on campus
Attendance daily is required until completion of the course.

Student Requirements
Students must have an Alabama Permit to take the summer class.
The summer Driver Education Course is intended for students who have a lot of experience behind the wheel. Students who sign up should be ready to take the Alabama Road Test. This course is not intended for beginner drivers.
Students must be in high school, grades 9-11 during the 2024-25 school year. We will not accept graduates.
Students may be from Public, Private, Parochial, or Home Schools.
Students must wear shoes and may wear appropriate, casual attire on driving days.
Opportunities For Certificates
Students will be given the Alabama Road Test. Students who pass the test will receive their Driver License Certification. Students who do not pass will need to take the road test at the DMV to obtain their Driver License.
Students are required to take the Alabama Vessel Exam as part of the course, even if you already have taken the test and passed. Students who pass the exam will receive their Boating Certification.
Students will receive a Completion Certificate after completion of this course. This Certificate can be used to obtain an Auto Insurance Discount.

Classroom instruction will be online using Google Classroom beginning May 28, 2025. Students will need to join Google Classroom with a personal email. Students will also need to join our class on the Remind app. Codes will be provided at registration.
Each student will be scheduled to drive 3 times during the month of June.
Driving dates and times vary depending on the instructor. Students will sign up for specific driving dates and times at registration.
