Be on the look out for Field Day and Color Run information on Monday!
Booth Field Day will be Friday, May 1st from 9:00 -12:00. Cost is $5.00 per student.
Booth Color Run will take place during field day. The cost is $20 for the Color Run event. Registration fee includes Field Day admission, Color Run t-shirt and Color Run participation.
Grade level groups will run separately on our track.
Pre K, Kindergarten and 1st grade 9:00 am
2nd and 3rd grade - 9:30 am
4th and 5th grade - 10:00 am
Adults may choose to participate as well by completing a registration form and paying the $20 registration fee.
All students are asked to dress in their grade level's color and may wear school appropriate out of uniform clothes on field day.
Pre K wears LIME GREEN
Kindergarten wears PURPLE
1st grade wears GREEN
2nd grade wears BLUE
3rd grade wears YELLOW
4th grade wears ORANGE
5th grade wears RED
Guest must be on the student's pick up list and provide a photo ID to attend.
Only Booth Elementary school-age children are allowed on campus.
Students who do not attend Booth Elementary School are not allowed on campus.
Younger non-school aged children may attend.
REGISTRATION FORMS WILL BE COMING HOME MONDAY, APRIL 6th.
COLOR RUN registration is due by Friday, April 10th to ensure the t-shirts are ready for the Color Run.

ACAP testing begins thisTuesday, March 24. Please make sure students are at school, on time. We also ask that students get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast before testing.
Testing begins promptly at 8:45. Students should be on campus no later than 8:15 am.
Here is the testing schedule:
March 24, 25, & 26 - 2nd and 3rd grade ELA
March 25 & 26 - 4th grade Science
March 31, April 1 & 2 - 4th & 5th grade ELA
April 6 & 7 - 2nd & 3rd grade Math
April 8 & 9 - 4th & 5th grade Math

Students are asked to be at school on time each day for testing. Students who are present each day for their ACAP test and who do their best will receive a special reward including an ice cream sundae party and a popcorn and recess treat after all testing is complete.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Students may wear a green t-shirt or St. Patrick’s day shirt tomorrow.

Just a reminder: There is no school tomorrow (March 13) or Monday (March 16). Tomorrow is considered a remote learning day. Students should have brought home a reading and math sheet to complete. Monday is a teacher work day. We look forward to seeing all of our students back on campus on Tuesday, March 17th! Have a great long weekend.

Tomorrow (March 9) is Pre-K testing for students interested in Booth's PreK program next school year. Please come to Booth between 8:30 and 11:30 with your prospective Pre-K student.

Pre-K Pre-Registration Requirements
1) To pre-register for Pre-K, students must be four years old on or before September 1st.
2) Parents must bring an original birth certificate to the onsite screening.
3) Parents or guardians are required to bring a photo ID and two proofs of residence documents to complete the pre-registration process.

Please remember this is only an application for the
Pre-Kindergarten program, not registration.
Applying for Pre-K does not guarantee placement into the program.

This Friday, we’re celebrating Read Across America with “Silly Socks & Secret Readers!” Students may wear their silliest socks to school as we welcome special secret readers into our classrooms for surprise read-alouds. It’s going to be a fun day filled with stories, smiles, and lots of sock style! We can’t wait to see those silly socks and share the joy of reading together.
Students who earned a HOT ticket my wear silly socks with their out of uniform pass. Students who DID NOT earn a HOT ticket should be in uniform but may wear silly socks.

Booth does a service project for the community each year. This year, we would like to surprise the residents of the Grand Bay Convalescent Center with care baskets to show them how LUCKY we are to have them! If you are able and would like to help, please send the item assigned to your student’s grade level below!
The deadline to send in items is March 6th, 2026!

Our chocolate bar fundraiser is in full swing. If you want to pick up a box to sell during Mardi Gras break, please send a note or come by the school before 2:30 tomorrow to pick up a box. All chocolate bar money is due on Monday, February 23rd.

Attention parents: No Hot Tickets will be coming home today. All students may wear a Valentines shirt or Mardi Gras shirt with blue jeans to celebrate Valentines Day and the beginning of Mardi Gras break. If you don't have a specific shirt for Valentines or Mardi Gras, students may wear Valentines or Mardi Gras colors.
IMPORTANT: 4th grade students going on the field trip MAY NOT be out of uniform. Students must be in full uniform to attend the field trip.

Last chance to register for our 2nd and 3rd grade parent breakfast. The breakfast is tomorrow morning from 8:15 - 9:30. We will be discussing upcoming ACAP testing and the Alabama Literacy Act.

Parents,
It will be cold in the morning but should warm up nicely by the end of the day. Please make sure your student is wearing Booth's regular school uniform tomorrow. Outerwear must be removed when students get to their classroom.

We have not received any information of school cancellation at this time. So as of now, school will be in session as normal tomorrow. Due to cold temperatures tomorrow (1/26) and Tuesday (1/27), we will allow non-uniform winter clothing including sweatshirts, jackets, sweatpants, beanie hats, and gloves so that our students may stay warm. Hoodies will also be acceptable but students will be asked to remove the hood from their heads in the building. Remember inside the building will be warm so students will want to dress in layers.
If we have any additional information or updates, we will post an update here, on the school app and on social media.

We have made it to 100 days! Tomorrow is the 100th day of school. Students may wear their favorite color shirt or a 100 days of school shirt with their uniform bottoms.
3rd quarter calendars also came home with students today. Be sure to check bookbags for this calendar.

As we are wrapping up this last week before Christmas break, here are a few reminders:

Tomorrow, Dec. 17 - We need help with Duty Free Lunch - Let’s show our teachers how much we appreciate them. We are looking for parents to help with duty free lunch tomorrow. If you can help during your child’s lunch wave, please let your child’s teacher know.

Tomorrow, Dec 17 - Are you TEAM RED or TEAM GREEN? -Students can show their Christmas spirit and wear red and/or green attire from head to toe!

Thursday, Dec 18 - Class Christmas Parties 1:00 - 2:00 - Only 1 parent per student due to limited space in the classrooms. No school-aged siblings are allowed on campus. Students may wear “lounge wear” as we slip into vacation mode. Lounge wear includes jeans, jogging pants, sweatshirts, holiday t-shirts, etc. PJs for grades PreK-2nd are accpetable. No PJs for 3rd - 5th grade.

Friday, Dec 19 - Last day of 2nd quarter - Students may dress in their cozy, comfy clothes. Lounge wear includes jeans, jogging pants, sweatshirts, holiday t-shirts, etc. No PJs allowed. Students must wear tennis shoes.

Brrr... It is going to be cold tomorrow! Due to extremely cold temperatures tomorrow, students may wear out of uniform sweatpants, sweatshirts and outerwear. Students must wear tennis shoes. Remember hoodies inside the building are not allowed. Please dress in layers as the heat in the building will be on. Students will stay inside for PE tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will celebrate Grinch Day! Students may wear a Grinch shirt or a green shirt with their uniform bottoms. Students may also try out some Whoville hair or wear antlers like Max, Grinch’s dog. We will be selling Grinch snacks in our Grinch Store for $1.50 each. Grinch Snacks will include: popcorn, beef jerky, pickles, cotton candy, ring pops, water, Sprite, and Gatorade. Classes will visit the Grinch store after PE tomorrow.
