BFA in Dance Education from The University of Southern Mississippi, 2001


Angie Dussouy has been studying dance from a very young age. She graduated with a BFA in Dance Education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2001. Since graduating, Angie has taught dance at various schools and after school programs throughout Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama. She was a performer for Macon Moving Dance Theater in Macon, GA.  Mrs. Dussouy has also performed and taken class at venues such as ACDF, Disney World, Jane Comfort Dance Company in New York, Pilobolus, and Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. She is a board member for the Alabama Dance Council and is currently working with other dance educators to begin the K-12 Alabama Dance Educators Network. Mrs. Dussouy also recently completed the task of serving on the committee to rewrite the Alabama k-12 dance standards. In 2006 she started the dance program at Davidson High School, where she continues to inspire young dancers and ensure the continued success of Davidson High School’s dance program.
